2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP

MASTER OF DARKNESS- Taking the already exceptional MT-09 to an even higher level, with a superior specification including an exclusive R1M inspired look, enhanced rider modes, uprated suspension and Brembo brakes – the MT-09 SP offers a sharper, more exhilarating ride.

SP-exclusive premium suspension, front and rear, brings Supersport-level handling and precision to the Hyper Naked class. The gold-finish DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated, 41mm KYB forks and Öhlins monoshock feature a higher spring rate, offering outstanding stability during more spirited, sporty riding. In addition, the damping characteristics have been refined to enhance the comfort of the ride.

Taking the next leap in technological advancement, the MT-09 SP becomes the first Hyper Naked to feature Yamaha’s Smart Key System.The engine is started by pressing and turning the newly designed switch, provided that the smart key is within a specified range such as in your pocket. The all-new switch also features a lock and unlock option for the fuel tank cap, further simplifying the riding experience.

The 889 cc liquid-cooled 3-cylinder produces high-torque out of a lightweight package to produce a powerful yet playful MT that emits a beautiful sound to enhance the feeling of acceleration thanks to its tuned intake and exhaust. The MT-09SP's fuel injection system increases efficiency, while optimized gear ratios and its assist-and-slipper clutch match the higher output of the EU5-compliant engine.
